Additionally, the Power Time Trial features an extremely fine carcass structure (3x180 TPI) that makes it smoother and easier to mount, while reducing vibrations and providing a smooth, controlled riding experience. It is a high-performance tire for the rider chasing marginal gains.

The Michelin Power Time Trial is not an all-rounder – it’s a specialist weapon that needs to be used with care. It’s designed for riders competing in time trials, triathlons or short, fast courses where every watt counts. If you’re competing in Ironman, 70.3 distances or local time trials, this is the tyre that can give you the final edge.

However, it is not the obvious choice for everyday training or winter driving, as it does not have the same puncture protection and wear resistance as more robust all-round tires. Its purpose is simple: to be as fast as possible on good asphalt in good weather.

We recommend combining it with lightweight tubes and correct tire pressure to get the maximum benefit from the tire's properties. And yes – if you have a power meter, you will most likely be able to measure the lower rolling resistance directly in your data.
