Using your 12-speed bike chain in the field

Sram Eagle Chain Link - 12 Speed is primarily used in two important scenarios: when installing a new chain and as a critical spare part for urgent repairs out on the route. Thanks to the clever PowerLock technology, the link can be assembled quickly, which is a huge advantage if accidents happen in the middle of a forest. An important detail during installation is the engraved arrow on the outside of the link, which indicates the chain's direction of rotation. To achieve the best performance, the arrow must always point in the direction the chain moves when the pedals are turned. Although the system is designed to be clicked together manually, it is often recommended to use chain link pliers to ensure the locking mechanism is fully activated with the characteristic click. It is important to note that this link is intended for one-time use when locking to guarantee the highest safety standard.

Value creation with PowerLock technology

Choosing an original Sram Eagle Chain Link - 12 Speed is about eliminating weak points in your drivetrain. PowerLock technology is the result of extensive testing and development, ensuring a permanent connection that does not come apart during riding. Where non-original components may cause noise or uneven gear shifts, this link works in perfect harmony with the cassette and chainring. The silver finish is not only aesthetically pleasing but also highly resistant to wear and corrosion, extending the life of your entire gear setup. By using the Sram Eagle Chain Link - 12 Speed, you significantly reduce the risk of chain failure, giving you peace of mind to push your bike to the limit on technical trails.
