One of the most significant technical features is Enve's Wide Hookless Bead technology. This special construction involves a significantly wider rim edge, measuring 3.6 mm, which acts as an effective cushion against heavy impacts from below. This significantly reduces the risk of pinch flats, also known as snake-bite style punctures on the tire sidewalls, when choosing to ride with lower tire pressure to achieve better grip on loose gravel. The wheelset is technically optimized for use with 27 mm tires to achieve the best aerodynamic profile, but it offers the rider great freedom by being compatible with tire sizes up to 50 mm.
