At the same time, it completely eliminates the risk of traditional pinch flats (snakebites), and when the tire is combined with a liquid latex sealant, small holes from thorns or stones will close automatically while riding. The tubeless setup also allows for riding with a lower maximum tire pressure of up to 94 psi for this 28c variant, which increases the tire's contact patch with the asphalt. Additionally, the unique Black Chili Compound uses specially developed synthetic rubbers in nano-size to optimize the balance between fantastic grip and low rolling resistance on both dry and wet roads. To complete this cornering grip, Continental has laser-cut a fine micro-profile pattern on the tire's shoulders, known as Lazer Grip.
