    Easy and precise installation

The Chaoyang bicycle inner tube is designed to meet the needs of both racing cyclists and triathletes. With its easy installation and reliable performance, you'll be ready to conquer the roads without any hassle.

Presta 48mm valve for low profile wheels

With the classic 48mm presta valve, the Chaoyang inner tube is suitable for low profile wheels, ideal for training wheels. If you have tires with a higher profile, such as 40mm or more, we recommend exploring our range of inner tubes with longer valves or valve extenders.

Fits width from 23mm to 28mm

The Chaoyang inner tube offers a versatile fit that accommodates tires with a width between 23mm and 28mm. If you are unsure of the tire width, you can often find this information printed around the rim of the tire.

    Lightweight and durable construction

With its light weight of only 120 grams (without valve cap), the Chaoyang bicycle inner tube adds no unnecessary weight to your bike. The durable construction ensures reliability and performance every time you pedal.

Bicycle inner tubes – the unseen hero in your setup

Although the bicycle inner tube is hidden inside the tire and often overlooked, it plays a crucial role in both comfort, durability and safety. A good inner tube makes the difference when it comes to rolling resistance, puncture protection and, not least, riding pleasure. Whether you are a recreational cyclist, triathlete or commuter, it is important to choose the right inner tube for your wheel and tire set-up. With us you will find bicycle inner tubes from the most reliable manufacturers on the market, which match modern demands for quality and performance. But how do you choose the right inner tube? It mainly depends on the tire width, valve length and the material the inner tube is made of – and we will take a closer look at these things below.

Tire width and valve – why it's important to choose the right one

When choosing a bicycle inner tube, it is crucial that it fits your tire width. Inner tubes come in different sizes, typically stated as a range, such as 700x23-28C. This means that the tube can be used in tires that are between 23 mm and 28 mm wide. A tube that is too small will be overstretched and thus more susceptible to punctures, while a tube that is too large will not fit properly in the tire and can cause uneven pressure distribution. Therefore, always check the dimensions of your tire before choosing a tube - it is usually printed on the sidewall.

Valve length is also important – especially if you ride with tall rims. Most racing bikes use Presta valves (narrow and tall), and valves are available in lengths such as 40mm, 60mm and up to 80mm. If the valve is too short, you won’t be able to inflate the tire properly, and you risk damaging the valve during use. It’s always a good idea to choose a valve that protrudes at least 10-15mm above the rim surface, so you can easily access it with a pump. Many riders also ride with valve extensions, but this requires you to choose tubes with a removable valve core.

Latex, butyl or TPU – materials each with their own advantages

In addition to size and valve, the material of the tube is also worth considering. Classic tubes are made of butyl rubber, which is robust, holds air well and is easy to handle. They are an obvious choice for everyday use, training and general versatile riding.

Latex tubes are lighter and more flexible, which means lower rolling resistance and better comfort. However, they are more porous and need to be pumped more often – and they are a bit more vulnerable to sharp objects and pinching during assembly. On the other hand, they can be a definite advantage for competitive use or long races where every watt counts.

A newer player on the market is TPU inner tubes – ultra-light and super strong tubes that take up minimal space and weigh far less than traditional rubber tubes. They are ideal as a spare tube because they take up almost no space in your saddlebag, and some models weigh less than 40 grams.

Regardless of the type of inner tube you choose, proper installation and tire pressure are essential to avoid punctures and get an optimal riding experience. Check your inner tubes regularly for wear and replace them if they show signs of cracking, deformation or after many thousands of kilometers. A good bicycle inner tube is an inexpensive but crucial investment in both comfort and performance – and with us you will find a wide selection for all needs and wheel types.
