Neoprene Gloves, socks and cap – Stay warm with equipment from ZONE3

When the water temperature drops and open water training becomes a cold pleasure, the right neoprene equipment is essential. At Transition Zone you will find neoprene gloves, feet and caps from ZONE3 – one of the most recognized brands in triathlon and open water swimming. Their neoprene accessories are designed to keep you warm, comfortable and focused – even when the water is well below 16 degrees.

Many triathletes and swimmers underestimate how quickly the body loses heat through the hands, feet and head, which is why a neoprene cap, a pair of neoprene gloves and neoprene socks can be the difference between an uncomfortable and an efficient swim.

Why neoprene equipment for hands, socks and cap is indispensable

Cold water is a challenge for the body. The head, hands and feet in particular quickly become cold, which is not only uncomfortable, but also hinders your mobility and performance. When the body uses energy to stay warm, there is less energy left for efficient swimming. Neoprene equipment from ZONE3 helps keep you warm, so you can focus on your technique and your training – not the temperature.

Neoprene gloves protect your hands from the cold and allow you to maintain a natural grip in the water. They are constructed with flexible neoprene and have a snug fit so they don't fill with water or slip off while you're on the water.

Neoprene feet, also called socks or swim shoes, keep your toes warm and protect them from rocks, shells and other sharp objects in the water or when getting in and out. Most models have non-slip soles and are designed to be worn under a wetsuit.

Neoprene hoods cover the head and ears and often have a long collar that can be tucked under the wetsuit to reduce water ingress. Since the head is the place where the body loses the most heat, a good hood can make a significant difference in comfort and performance.

ZONE3 neoprene – developed for swimmers

All products we sell at Transition Zone come from ZONE3, known for their uncompromising focus on performance, comfort and functionality. ZONE3's neoprene accessories are developed specifically for triathletes and open water swimmers - not surfers or divers - and it shows.

ZONE3 Neoprene Heat-Tech Gloves are among the warmest gloves on the market and feature a fleece-like inner lining for extra comfort. They feature taped seams and a reinforced outer layer for added durability. Despite the high insulation, you still retain good finger movement and feel in your hand.

Made from 2.5–3.5 mm neoprene, the ZONE3 Neoprene Swim Socks feature a form-fitting design with a split toe for improved fit and stability. They also have a rubberized sole for good grip when moving over slippery rocks or stairs.

The ZONE3 Neoprene Swim Cap is 4mm thick and covers both ears and forehead. It is made of a super stretchy material, so it fits snugly and comfortably without causing pressure marks. The collar under the chin ensures that the cap stays in place, even during longer swims in waves or currents.

All products can be easily combined with ZONE3's wetsuits and sea bags, and they have been tested in open water by both recreational and elite athletes. The quality is implemented throughout, from stitching and fit to durability and warmth.

Extend the season and swim comfortably year-round

Do you want to swim in early spring, late autumn – or all winter? Then neoprene equipment is out of the question. By investing in gloves, socks and a hood from ZONE3, you can swim comfortably in temperatures as low as 10–12 degrees.

The advantages are clear:

Warmth and comfort in cold water

Extended open water season

Protection against sharp surfaces

Increased safety and well-being during training

Full freedom of movement and perfect fit

We recommend that you always have neoprene accessories in your swim bag when training in open water. This not only provides more comfort – it also makes training more effective because you can stay in the water longer without getting cold.
